Mediation

Mediation is a phased process of conflict management which, through the consultation of an independent third party, allows satisfactory solutions to be found quickly. The impartiality of the mediator leads to an understanding of all the interests and positions of the parties involved. The awareness of the conflict parties, that they are able to represent their interests fairly and adequately, is an important factor in the mediation process. The prerequisite of successful mediation is the willingness of all those involved to reach a mutually acceptable conflict resolution.
